More Powder. Less Power.

The test results presentedhere is a summary of the independent and controlled tests performed by The Swedish Ski Association among others, at Lugnet Ski Stadium, Falun, Sweden during five days in February 2011.

34% more snow

The graphs show the amount of snow that Areco fan guns produced during 3 hours compared to competing machines. The volume of snow was calculated by the volume of water used by the snow gun and the average density of the snow.

32% less energy

Electricity is needed to transform water into snow. The electricity is used to operate fan, compressor, heating of nozzles, etc. An electric energy meter was used to measure the amount of electric energy used for each fan gun. The energy consumption of the central pump is included in the calculations, as water from the pump is needed to feed each fan gun.

graph2

43% less kWh/m3 snow

A large running cost on each ski resort is the electricity. These test results show that Areco can save you up to 43% on used electricity for each cubic meter snow produced.

graph3

75% more efficient

When looking at the amount of snow produced in relation to the amount of energy used, the figures show that Areco produced up to 75% more snow per kWh.
